Melissa Dolbec , FNP

Melissa Dolbec is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of critical care experience as an RN and 7 years specializing in pulmonary and sleep medicine, she is deeply committed to transforming patient care through education, empathy, and evidence-based practice. Her work is driven by a passion for helping patients and caregivers understand complex diagnoses, improve health literacy, and engage confidently in their treatment journeys.

She specializes in rare and chronic respiratory conditions—including COPD, asthma, pulmonary arterial hypertension/pulmonary hypertension (PAH/PH), and sleep-disordered breathing—and has extensive expertise in non-invasive ventilation strategies such as AVAPS-AE, iVAPS, auto-PAP, and ASV. From her early years providing ICU bedside care to her current role in multidisciplinary specialty clinics, her career has centered on improving outcomes through clear communication, tailored education, and clinical excellence.

She has had the privilege of serving underserved rural populations, contributing to national research initiatives, mentoring clinical teams, and presenting on advanced pulmonary care topics. Whether leading patient education programs, advising fellow providers, or integrating technologies such as AI-powered DAX charting into clinical workflow, she remains focused on bridging the gap between science and understanding—empowering individuals to take charge of their health.
